Professor Marin graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School with high honors. During his time at Cooley, he was an Honors Scholar, served as a Managing Associate Editor for the Law Review, and was on the Student Bar Association’s Executive Board, acting as the Secretary. In addition, he was the recipient of the Leadership Achievement Award and Distinguished Student Award.
Professor Marin obtained his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Intellectual Property from WMU-Cooley Law School. His primary focus was on patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets in the United States, the European Union, and China.
Professor Marin received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Lawrence University. During his time at Lawrence, he was a Teaching Assistant for multiple courses, served as the Interfraternity Council President and Secretary, was the Treasurer of his fraternity, and the Publicity Char for the Concert Choir.
